Rosalía Channels Björk: Singer Wears Iconic Swan Dress for Halloween

The Spanish singer Rosalía knows very well how to cause a sensation with the looks she chooses for each public appearance. That is why the ‘Combi Versace’ singer took advantage of the Halloween celebration to show off an impact costume.

Rosalía appeared publicly wearing a swan-shaped dress. The curious garment consisted of a short feather skirt, a white swan neck and head that went up her torso and around her neck.

It turns out that this dress is one of the most famous and iconic garments in the world of music and fashion. It is a garment that dates back to 2001 when the singer Björk appeared in a swan dress at the Oscars gala that year.

The artist was nominated in the Best Original Song category for “I’ve seen it all”, which came from the soundtrack of the film Dancer in the dark.

Björk made the list of the worst dressed at that edition of the Academy Awards for wearing that extravagant dress. The controversial garment was the creation of Macedonian designer Marjan Pejoski.

“Not many understand my style,” the designer said at the time in an interview for Vogue. “But I don’t care about bad publicity. If you are an artist, you hope that not everyone likes what you do. And anyway, I was delighted that there was such a fuss about it,” said the designer.

Remembering that unforgettable moment in pop culture and fashion, Rosalía wanted to wear that costume for the Halloween night organized by businesswoman Kylie Jenner.

But none of this is coincidence. It turns out that on October 6, Rosalía and Björk announced the premiere of a song with the aim of saving the fish. The profits from this issue will go to the fight against fish farming.

“Iceland has the largest virgin nature in Europe. In fact, even today, sheep remain free on pastures during the summer and fish swim freely in our lakes and fjords. However, when Icelandic and Norwegian businessmen started buying fish farms in most of our fjords, it came as a shock to everyone. In fact, we do not understand that they have been allowed to do this for a decade without any law regulating it. Furthermore, this has had a devastating effect on the local fauna and the fish live in horrible conditions,” the collaboration post explained.
