Rosa Benito can’t be more excited about her new professional project. Away from the small screen, the television actress is making her debut as an actress in the comedy “Pensionistas” alongside Irma Soriano and Loreto Valverde. In recent months, Chayo Mohedano’s motherhas been immersed in rehearsals and in less than 20 days the show will begin touring the country.
Very excited, Rosa Benito has shared a fragment of the work on her Instagram profile promoting the show and, for the first time, We have been able to see Amador Mohedano’s ex-wife in her role as an actressz. “I’m super nervous, I never thought about doing theatre… you see and now I’m in a wonderful project “Pensionistas” is the name of the play, if before I admired actors now I admire those who do theatre much more because you can’t imagine how difficult it has been for me, but thanks to the colleagues I have and the magnificent team who gave me so much encouragement and told me “come on Carmen, (my name in the play) you can do it”, and that you can, you can’t imagine the energy it gave me to fight and make my role wonderful. It was difficult for me, I say it again, to memorise a play, but I had such a good time rehearsing that I managed it. We did it with a lot of love and I hope “Pensionistas” reaches any place in Spain, to make you laugh, that’s what it’s about, laughing a lot…”, she wrote alongside the publication.
The play is about three retired women who They have been widowed by Covid-19 and are forced to move together and combine their three pensions to survive. Despite the dramatic start, the three protagonists of this story will try to fulfill their dreams and it is a song to life for women who do not give up to achieve everything they set out to do.
