In total, the Ros Beiaardommegang was delayed by about two hours. This was due to a heavy rain shower just before the planned departure, but the procession was further delayed on the way, partly due to a small incident. One of the floats – “De Walvis”, with a water-spouting Neptune on top – misjudged a maneuver in a bend of the Emiel Van Winckellaan and hit crush barriers. As a result, some horses had to be calmed down.
Geese, sheep, oxen and dogs also joined the procession. They have fulfilled their folkloric duty with the necessary peace of mind.
