Roots of Pacha, a prehistoric farming simulator game, is now available for purchase on Steam again after being removed from the platform earlier this month by its publisher, Crytivo. The developer, Soda Den, worked out an agreement with Crytivo that allowed for self-publishing going forward. In a joint statement, both parties announced the new arrangement and affirmed that they parted ways on friendly terms.
The game, similar to Stardew Valley, takes place in an ancient setting where players have to build and maintain their farm and community. After the game’s release, Crytivo and Soda Den fought over ownership of the game and elements related to their contractual relationship. This conflict resulted in the game’s removal from distribution. Fortunately, the dispute is now resolved, and the game is back up for players to enjoy.
Both Soda Den and Crytivo expressed mutual appreciation for their cooperation and efforts in creating Roots of Pacha. Fans can now head to Steam to purchase the game and embark on their prehistoric farming journey.
