“Liepāja Art Forum”
The world-famous, Grammy Award-winning vocal ensemble “Roomful of Teeth” from the USA expands the potential of the human voice, specializes mainly in concert programs of contemporary composers created especially for the ensemble, and stands out for mastering amazingly virtuosic and extensive vocal techniques. In Liepāja Art Forum, the association will perform imaginative contemporary American vocal music created by three outstanding female composers – Caroline Shaw, Missy Mazzoli and Angélica Negrón.
The works performed in the program will be Latvian premieres and they will follow the story selected by the ensemble about what has been lost and gained through words – the dismantling and restoration of language through structure and text. Voice and text bubble, merge, play with emotions and the human voice becomes an unlimited palette of colors!
