The first room of the future of Spain is not a dream. It bears an Asturian stamp and can be tested at the Niemeyer Center in Avilés. It is a futuristic project arising from the joint work of a business consortium that has been working on the project since 2014. The initiative, led by the Baragaño architecture studio, presents an installation that can be created through four reconfigurable modules, Needs a week for your manufacturing and one day of mounting. Sergio Baragaño assures that “the technological room can respond to spaces such as student residences or even hospitals. “
Along with the study are ArcelorMittal, Saint-Gobain, Geopannel, NormaGrup, Roca, Cosentino, Ecus, Jansen and the Hotel Palacio de Avilés whose extension encrypted in 22 rooms will carry this system. The steel giant has introduced the iron in spaces like windows or in itself facade. To the iron are added ultracompact surfaces with natural and recyclable materials or mattresses with probiotics that pierce the skin. Ecus, Murcian company that is in charge of its preparation, adds two more aspects. Its general director, Conrado Padilla, details that “the mattress articulates on its own and allows recovery areas of the body itself.”
Another novelty in the room is the worldwide launch of the tankless toilet by Roca. The function of the cistern is integrated within the apparatus itself, although Jordi Corral adds that “in the coming months the toilet will evolve to incorporate the bidet functions. “
The light also fits the biological rhythm of the user, there will be ultra-compact surfaces with natural and recyclable materials and glasses that become opaque or transparent depending on the needs. The Mayor of Avilés, Mariví Monteserín, considers that she is the example of new economies for new markets.
Room 2030 is both an experimentation laboratory and an innovation platform. Borja Sánchez, Minister of Science, believes that there are reasons to boast. “It is necessary to highlight the importance of having tractor companies like Arcelor. It is easier to do projects of this magnitude.”
