Indiana Fever lost its last game of the season 98-86 against Minnesota tonight. The play-offs were no longer in place for Julie Allemand’s team, but the Belgian Cat himself played an excellent season.
What’s more, with the combination of 8 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds per match, she does something no rookie has ever done before. She also played all 22 matches. Allemand is one of three nominees for the title of Rookie of the Year.
Yet she herself is not 100 percent satisfied. She told that before the last match. “I taught my team something, but it could be even more. There were many competitions in which I felt that I could do even better. I know what I can improve. I want to prove that at the Belgian Cats and in a club context.”
“I am glad that I came here. I learned a lot and not only in the field. That is important to me. I think I have grown enormously in the past three months. I am of course a bit disappointed with the collective result. , because we have not reached our goal – the play-offs. ”
Julie Allemand will return to Belgium tomorrow to take a week’s vacation. Then she starts preparing for Montpellier, her new team in France.
