RONNY Jackson called on Democrats to check Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities after former President Donald Trump claimed he passed the mental aptitude test.
Texas Representative Ronny Jackson, Trump’s former White House doctor, is pushing for Biden to be evaluated because he says the 78-year-old Democrat is not “physically or cognitively fit to be president.”
Speaking in an interview with Fox News over the weekend, Jackson – who is among 14 Republican lawmakers who signed a letter calling for Biden to pass a mental exam – insisted the test “must” be performed.
He told the outlet on Saturday: “The far left and the mainstream media demanded that this be the new standard for whoever is going to lead our country and be our commander-in-chief and our head of state.
“I’m just saying I agree with them at this point – we have to do it. ”
Jackson wants Biden to get tested, as does Trump, who agreed to take the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) to check for cognitive impairment just one year after starting his presidency.
Although the White House recently said Biden will have a physical exam in 2021, Jackson noted that it was not confirmed if a cognitive test would be part of that screening.
The GOP representative also told Fox News that he believes Biden is “showing every day that something is going on.
“You don’t have to be a doctor to look at this behavior and see that something of concern is going on. “
He recounted how Biden “always made mistakes,” but expressed concern that the newer ones are “different.”
“He’s confused, he’s disoriented. We all know people who are 100 years old, who are basically as sharp as a nail, and we know people who are in their mid-60s who have cognitive difficulties… and I think he’s on that end of the spectrum. Jackson said.
“He’s just not aging gracefully at this point. I’m just asking them, when you do the physical exam, include the cognitive assessment. As far as I’m concerned, the previous standard has been set and they need to follow and do the same. “

Jackson also spoke with Sean Hannity last month and said, “We can’t sit on this anymore. He is not physically or cognitively fit to be our president at this time. “
The former White House doctor said he was aware of the presidency’s demands, but said the Democrat “does not inspire confidence” on the world stage.
He called Biden’s performance with world leaders “embarrassing” and said Americans need a president they can trust, Mail Online reports.
The Texas lawmaker has revealed he will send the letter to Biden and his team.
It is addressed to the President, his physician Dr Kevin O’Connor and Chief Medical Advisor Dr Anthony Fauci.

Jackson told The Hill, “Just everything that’s been going on for a year and a half… [Biden] does not know what is going on, where he is. He is very confused all the time.
“They deserve to know that he or she can perform the tasks demanded of the office, and they deserve to have full transparency about the mental state of their highest elected leader. “
The president, who is prone to blunder, has blundered several times in recent months.
He confused Syria with Libya three times during a press conference at the G7 summit.

Jackson’s credibility has been called into question in the past regarding claims about Trump’s health and cognitive abilities.
In 2018, Jackson said Trump had “excellent” heart health despite his “junk food” diet.
Jackson also said Trump got a perfect score of 30 out of 30 on a cognitive test and was exactly one pound below what is considered “obese.”
Asked about this assessment, Jackson said it was due to Trump’s “insanely good genes, and that’s just the way God made it.”
Biden said he plans to have a medical exam this year and the results will be released to the public.
