‘Always Together’ is Ronnie’s first studio album since 2018, when he released ‘NORI’ on record label Top Notch. Last spring it was announced that the collaboration between that label and the rapper had been broken. “People sometimes approach me and say: ‘If it takes you four years to finish your album, it must be very good by now.’ But that’s not it,” said Ronnie. “I made 250 songs for four years, all of which I didn’t like. It just took me a very long time to get to this point, where I could get behind it again.”

Ronnie is very proud of the end result. Especially the last track on the album, ‘Back now’, is special for the singer. According to the Videoland star, the song is about growing up and the battle he has had with himself in recent years. In addition, it is also about his good friend and rapper Feis, who was shot dead at four o’clock in the morning on New Year’s Eve in Rotterdam on the Nieuwe Binnenweg in Rotterdam.
“I wrote the verse on my own at nine o’clock in the morning in Abcoude,” he says about the track. “My wife came in and I just cried tears, I couldn’t stop it. I just had to cry at that shit.”

Ronnie is also going on a club tour with his new album. This will start on November 5 in Paradiso in Amsterdam. On November 20, Ronnie will be in De Roma in Antwerp. Then there is a gap until February 5, 2022, when his tour continues in Rotterdam. Ronnie then visits Enschede, Tilburg, Utrecht and Alkmaar before concluding his club tour on March 26 in Haarlem.
Ronnie: Together Forever can be seen every Friday at Videoland.
