Multi-fighters from the region convince in Schutterwald.
(mu). At the 26th Schutterwald all-around meeting, numerous athletes from the LC Breisgau and LAC Freiburg ensured good performances with high scores at the end of the season, also due to the good external conditions.
In the female youth U18 category, the victory went to Ronja Baum from LC Breisgau, who delivered a very good heptathlon with 4138 points. On the track she collected the most points over 100 meters (13.16 seconds) and 100 meter hurdles (16.38) as well as over 800 meters (2: 30.51 minutes). LC club colleague Isabella Dumm came in third with 3292 points. Vanessa Simmes from LAC Freiburg was seventh with 2903 points.
In the male U 18, the LCB formed a strong team with five starters in the decathlon. Jonas van der Does, from Denzlingen, scored 5004 points and second place on his debut. Pascal Speyer (4458) followed in fifth, Luis Berger (4043) in seventh. Tim Wabel (skipped high jump) finished eighth with 3548 points, Emil Helas (3441) ninth. As a team, van der Does, Speyer and Berger collected 13516 points – second place in Baden. In the heptathlon in the W 15 class, Kadja Hohe (LAC Freiburg) took second place with 3215 points. Emly Martig (TV Staufen) was fifth with 2302 points.
In his old home, the Denzlingen senior Wolfgang Scheffler collected 5249 points. This puts Scheffler in second place on the German best list in the M 50 age group, although there was a salto nullo for him in the pole vault.
