Austria with good chances
You could see that from the first minute – both teams acted with great effort and tried to take command. In the 11th minute, the Lustenau were lucky for the first time when Zaizen put the ball past the goal from close range. Subsequently, however, it was Austria who had the better chances – Ronivaldo missed two chances for the lead in the 23rd and 24th minute. In the 42nd minute, it was up to the captain to put the Lustenauer in the lead. After a foul on Ranacher, Ronivaldo converted the penalty due to a deserved 1-0 lead.

Tough fight to the end
Shortly after the break, Ronivaldo had the chance to extend the lead. The attacker hesitated a bit too long in front of the goal, which made it possible for the Tyroleans to prevent the second goal. So the duel remained exciting. The Innsbruckers tried everything to make up for it – the Lustenau, on the other hand, put everything on the scale to prevent exactly this.

In the end, united forces managed to bring the leadership over time. This marks the second time that Austria has reached the cup final after the 2010/2011 season. The opponent there will be played tomorrow in the top duel between LASK and Red Bull Salzburg.
