Ronan Keating pays tribute to his friend and Boyzone colleague Stephen Gately on Monday. On Instagram he shares a series of photos of him and his partner, who died suddenly in 2009.
“Thirteen years old and it doesn’t get any easier,” writes Keating. “Because I know how much life you had in you. I miss you friend.”
Keating shares ten photos from different eras, from Boyzone’s early years to Gately’s subsequent friendship.
Gately was found dead in an apartment in Mallorca on 10 October 2009 by her husband Andrew Cowles. It later became clear that the singer was struggling with a congenital heart condition, which had never been noticed before. Gately was 33.
