Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Legend Manchester United Gary Neville assesses the anger shown Cristiano Ronaldo after the game against Everton there was a lot of pressure for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer decided to play Ronaldo in the second half when he hosted Everton in the Premier League continued at Old Trafford Stadium, last weekend.
CR7 was unable to do much and had to settle for a 1-1 draw at the end of the match. Ronaldo looked very angry when the final whistle sounded.
He walked straight to the locker room, muttering and shaking his head. This action is considered by Neville to have an impact on Solskjaer.
“He walked off the pitch muttering to himself and begging the question, what did he say? Who was he upset with?” said Neville.
“The action will have an impact on the coach and Ronaldo is smart enough to know this, the action will bring real pressure to the coach. It’s bigger than anything that has been experienced before,” added Neville.
Neville understands Ronaldo’s anger as a player. However, he hopes the Portuguese star can manage his anger for the sake of the team’s integrity.
Ronaldo did have a big impact at Man Utd. A total of five goals have been collected since rejoining from Juventus in August. However, the annoyance shown by Ronaldo in public is claimed to be dangerous for Solskjaer’s position.
“If he acts like that, it will put a lot of pressure on Solskjaer. Without a doubt, the talk after the game will lead to Solskjaer,” he said.
A draw in public makes Man Utd now only in fourth place in the Premier League standings with 14 points.
