The Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, moved to his home in Turin, Italy, in order to enter quarantine until he recovered from the Corona virus, as he follows the procedures set by the local authorities, as the Juventus star tested positive while he was in the Portugal national team camp, and he isolated himself. Then in a hotel, Ronaldo took a private plane to return to Turin today and landed this afternoon, where he was transported in an ambulance to his home so that he could continue the quarantine period.
Juventus said in a statement: “Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Italy with a medical trip authorized by the competent health authorities upon the player’s request and will continue to self-isolate at his home.”
Some considered this to be another violation of the established rules, but the Director of the Local Health Authority in Turin Roberto Testi said that what was done with Ronaldo completely was within his rights.
He commented, “I do not know the exact details of this situation, but the rules allow someone to request a special flight registered as a medical trip with all the different authorities. He can then ride an ambulance and take him to his home for quarantine for at least 10 days.”
The young American, Weston McKinney, who recently joined the Juventus ranks, was also tested positive for the Corona virus, which sent the entire team to self-isolation in a hotel.
The increase in the number of cases is not limited to football only, as Italy is exposed to a second wave of Corona virus, as 7,332 new positive cases were recorded during the past 24 hours and 43 people died.
