WHAT HAPPENED? Al-Nassr manager Rudi Garcia has blamed Cristiano Ronaldo for the 3-1 Super Cup semi-final defeat by Al-Ittihad.
WHAT WAS SAID? The France boss said at the post-match press conference: “One of the things that changed the course of the game was Cristiano Ronaldo’s missed chance in the first half.”
WHAT IS THE BACKGROUND? Yesterday, Thursday, Al-Nassr faced Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup. However, the team led by superstar CR7 was already 2-0 down at half-time, and Talisca scored the first goal in the 67th minute. In the end, Rudi Garca’s team had to admit defeat with 1:3.
The 37-year-old Ronaldo was on the pitch for the full 90 minutes but was unable to turn things around.
