Ronaldo signs deal with Saudi Arabian team ‘Al Nassr’

The concluded contract will be valid until June 2025.

Already during the World Cup finals there were rumors that Ronaldo could join Al Nassr after leaving Manchester United, but the footballer himself denied it at the time.

The 37-year-old wanted to leave United before the 2022/23 season, confirming in an interview with Piers Morgen that he had turned down a lucrative offer from the Saudi club, and also said he was unhappy with his role at United and his relationship with club coach Erika ten Haag. Shortly after the interview, “United” and Ronaldo parted ways.

A move to the Gulf state could spell the end of Ronaldo’s illustrious career in Europe, where he played for United, Juventus and Real Madrid.

No player has scored more Champions League goals than Ronaldo, who is also the national team’s top scorer with 118 goals in 194 games.

The ‘Al Nassr’ squad also includes Cameroonian World Cup player Vincent Abubakar and former Napoli goalkeeper David Ospina.

Ronaldo returned to “United” before the 2021/2022 season, but this season he did not earn the trust of the new ten Haag manager.
