Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive corona virus. So, what about fate Bruno Fernandes as Ronaldo’s teammates?
Ronaldo tested positive for the corona virus while on duty with the Portugal national team. All Selecao players underwent a swab test on Tuesday (13/10/2020) morning local time.
The Juventus striker is confirmed to be absent from strengthening Portugal in the UEFA Nations League continuation against Sweden. Portugal acted as host in the duel which took place in Jose Alvalade, Thursday (15/10) in the morning WIB.
“Cristiano Ronaldo has been released from national team duty after testing positive for COVID-19, so he will not face Sweden. The Portuguese international is in good condition, without symptoms and is currently in isolation,” wrote a Portugal statement.
Of all the Portuguese players who underwent the test, only Ronaldo tested positive for the corona virus. This means that several clubs whose players are in the Portugal national team can breathe a sigh of relief.
Like Manchester United, where there is Bruno Fernandes. The 26-year-old midfielder can continue to strengthen Portugal until he returns to Man United.
Fernandes has been a mainstay of Man United since being brought in from Sporting CP in January 2020. He can almost always be the difference in matches and is the main penalty taker at MU.
Fernandes has appeared 26 times so far in a Man United shirt. He successfully packed 14 goals and 10 assists.
