Trainer Juventus Massimiliano Allegri respond to speculation about the future Cristiano Ronaldo. Allegri insists that Ronaldo stays at Juventus.
Ronaldo is entering the final year of his contract with Juventus. The Portuguese star tied with Bianconeri until 2022.
There is no sign of a contract extension, Ronaldo was hit by transfer issues. The 36-year-old player was then linked with a number of top European clubs such as Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City, to Paris Saint-Germain.
Recently, Cristiano Ronaldo denied all rumors that he would leave Juventus. In particular he denied rumors of a transfer to Real Madrid.
However, speculation about Ronaldo’s future at Juventus did not immediately subside. Rumors resurfaced after Ronaldo was not involved in Juventus’ last test match against the U-23 team.
Massimiliano Allegri dismissed the rumors by stating that Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at Juventus. Ronaldo never said he would leave the Old Lady.
“Ronaldo didn’t play on Thursday because we had just had a tough training and I gave him half a day off,” Allegri said in a press conference ahead of the match against Udinese, as reported by Football Italia.
“Ronaldo is a bonus for us, because he guarantees a lot of goals. Obviously we also have to work as a team to get the best out of the players.
“Ronaldo always trains well, I only read gossip in the newspapers. He never told us he wanted to leave
“Ronaldo said that he was staying at Juventus,” said Allegri.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus will start the 2021/2022 Italian League by traveling to Udinese headquarters, Sunday (22/8/2021) night WIB.
