Ronaldo is said to be ready to leave United

Ralf Rangnick has had a tough start to his stay as interim coach at Manchester United. The club last lost to Wolverhampton with 0-1 and after the match, information came in the British media that several players are dissatisfied with life in the English big club. The locker room is said to be fragmented and as many as eleven players are said to want to leave.

A bright spot during the season, however, has been Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to the club. The Portuguese is the team’s top scorer and is listed for 14 hits in 21 matches, but despite that, the world star’s future is uncertain.

Now the British tabloid Daily Star reports that Ronaldo does not want Ralf Rangnick to get the head coach assignment on a permanent basis after the season. The German will namely switch to a consulting role this summer, but has not closed the door to continue himself as head coach if the results should turn in the spring.

Mauricio Pochettino (Paris Saint-Germain), Erik Ten Hag (Ajax) and Brendan Rodgers (Leicester) have all been mentioned as potential candidates to take over at Manchester United this summer. According to the information, Ronaldo would not support the employment of Rangnick, but instead prefer another top coach to get the job.

Would not the next coach suit Ronaldo, according to himself? Yes, then the Portuguese can leave the club this summer.

– He thought it would be better than this. He is a born winner and wants to win more titles, so who the next coach will be will help him make a decision about his next move in his career, a source tells the Daily Star.

Cristiano Ronaldo has a contract with Manchester United until the summer of 2023.
