Even though he has joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo can still play in the Champions League competition.
This tournament is considered the favorite of the Portuguese star during his football career, and he is its historical top scorer.
Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nasr includes a clause allowing him to play temporarily for Newcastle United next season, in case the English club, owned by Saudi Arabia, qualify, according to Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’ for the Champions League.
Newcastle are currently third in the ‘Premier League’ table and can qualify for the Champions League next season.
A few days ago, Ronaldo joined Al-Nasr club for two and a half years, for a record salary of 200 million euros a year.
The Portuguese champion arrived in Riyadh last night to start playing again with the Al-Nasr team after days.
