Former Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has been fined £50,000 and given a two-match Premier League ban. The reason for this decision was the aggression of the Portuguese against the child.
Recall that in April, Ronaldo broke the phone of an autistic boy – the episode occurred after Manchester United’s match with Everton (0:1) in the 32nd round of the Premier League. Soon after, the attacker apologized.
“Cristiano Ronaldo has been banned for two matches, fined £50,000 and booked for breaching FA rules. The Independent Regulatory Commission found his behavior to be inappropriate and cruel and imposed these sanctions,” the Mirror quoted the English Football Association as saying.
We add that the suspension will apply if Ronaldo, whose contract with United was terminated yesterday, moves to another English club.
