Ronaldo didn’t like this statement at all and wrote under the post on Instagram: “Wtf? Who is this guy?”
Why does the top striker even comment on the statement of the supposedly unknown person?
In fact, Rolando and Paim have known each other since they were children! And Ronaldo was even convinced that Paim was the better player. “If you think I’m good, wait until you see Fabio Paim,” Cristiano Ronaldo said in 2003.
But Paim cannot boast of an outstanding football career like Ronaldo. He got on the wrong track – and even ended up in prison for drug offenses! Ronaldo’s praise still seems to stick with him to this day.
“I jokingly said that I thought Cristiano Ronaldo might offer me a Ballon d’Or. But I was humble. If I had half of Cristiano Ronaldo’s head, he and Messi wouldn’t be there. Then it would be me, him and Messi.”
