“A kind of Eriksen type, I think he is a Kevin de Bruyne type. In terms of type, I am not saying that he will reach the same level,” De Boer begins. “I once saw De Bruyne play at the Amsterdam tournament at Wolfsburg, well. That running ability, very easily from sixteen to sixteen, he can do that too.” Hlynsson made his first appearance in Ajax’s first team this season, under coach Maurice Steijn. He scored twice against FC Utrecht.
“Great shot, good passing, good orientation. Hlynsson has all that too,” De Boer continues. “He potentially has everything to become a good player. De Bruyne’s level is only available to a few, but I do see potential.”
