The adult movie star Ron Jeremy He pleaded not guilty to three counts of rape and one count of sexual abuse.
The American declared his innocence in a court in downtown Los Angeles, where he was seen wearing an orange suit and a mask inside a glass enclosure.
The specific charges that Jeremy pleaded not guilty included three counts of forced rape, one count of sexual abuse, three counts of forced penetration by a foreign object and one count of forced oral intercourse.
Los Angeles County authorities received this week 25 new allegations of sexual misconduct against Jeremy, 13 of which may have taken place in Southern California.
Deputy District Attorney Paul Thompson said in court on Friday that the new allegations ranging from groping to sexual violence, adding that it is “certainly possible” that they will lead to new charges.
The eight charges stemmed from complaints that four women made about incidents between 2014-2019. Three of the women accused Jeremy of sexually abusing them in a West Hollywood bar, and one woman claimed that Jeremy raped her in a house in West Hollywood.
If convicted, Jeremy, 67, could face up to 90 years in prison. Her next appearance in court is expected in late August.
