When the cinema doors closed in March of last year, they became particularly important: the streaming services that the cinema delivers to our home on the couch. But not only Netflix and Co. were able to increase their importance and provide us with international products. Anyone interested in local filmmaking is in good hands with the Kino VOD Club. The provider has been delivering Austrian cinema as a stream in the living room since 2017. On the one hand, this increases the visibility of the Austrian production landscape and, on the other hand, the cinemas can participate in the digital exploitation of films.
The KURIER Kino also presents the VOD Club (available here) the top 100 most successful Austrian cinema films: There is a wide range of film pearls on offer, ranging from black comedies to auteur films.
The Kino VOD Club is nominated as the most popular lockdown format.
