Romeo Santos Rocks New York from Rockefeller Plaza – NBC New York (47)

NEW YORK – One day after his birthday, New York’s most acclaimed bachatero and one of the most internationally recognized (if not the most), Romeo Santos, came to conquer New York’s Rockefeller Plaza to give a free concert to his fans.

Age is just a number

From Thursday night, and into the early hours of Friday, hundreds of fans lined up near the iconic Rockefeller Plaza to secure a space that was as close to the artist as possible.

Our Victoria Sosa was there from early hours to welcome the fans, and of course, the “king of bachata”, as he is known.

Romeo Santos celebrated his 41st birthday with good news for his fans: He is preparing a new album! It would be the long-awaited “Formula Volume 3”, which he speculated last April 1, April Fools’ Day.

What was not an “Indecent Proposal” was the message that Romeo issued on Instagram to celebrate his birthday:

“I won’t write them a directory – lol. I’ll just tell you that age is just an irrelevant number if your vibe and energy stay fresh. FV3 very soon.”

It is not the first time that the Dominican bachatero participates in a live concert for the TODAY program, andbecause in 2015 he performed in the same series of concerts.

The full list of concerts scheduled to date is below. All performances will be on Fridays unless otherwise announced. Additional performances will be revealed in the coming weeks.
