Romelu Lukaku, the Belgian striker will soon be back at Chelsea. The news has been confirmed by Inter Milan Chief Sporting Officer Beppe Marotta.
Asked by the British media “Sky News”, Marotta said: “Will Lukaku also stay next year? It’s too early to decide, he’ll return to Chelsea and we’ll see what happens next.”
The striker had joined the Italian club on loan after less than a year in the Premier League.
He will only have played a total of 14 matches for the Milanese club during his loan spell due to injuries.
The loan spell is coming to an end and Romelu Lukaku will return to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The player has, however, shown his willingness to stay in Italy by making his loan permanent.
Marotta claimed to be aware of the player’s wish, but said they would address the issue afterwards.
