Et two more which make 300. Romelu Lukaku’s goal counter is now 300 following his brace against Lazio on Sunday night. The very first time he has shaken the net in his professional career was on August 22, 2009 in the jersey of Anderlecht. He was barely 16 at the time.
Since that day, the matches have been linked and the goals have piled up for the Red Devil who thus reaches the bar of 300 at 27 years old. For comparison, he does as well as Cristiano Ronaldo who was also 27 when he planted his 300th goal. Since then, the 36-year-old Portuguese has climbed to more than 760 achievements.

However, Lukaku was faster than other “serial scorers” still active: Robert Lewandowski and Luis Suarez were 28, Zlatan Ibrahimovic 31. Only Lionel Messi was younger as he was only 25 when he crossed the 300 goals in his career.

Great goalscorer everywhere he goes … except at Chelsea
With the Mauves, Lukaku will have planted a total of 41 goals between 2009 and 2011 (98 matches) before joining England and Chelsea. And this is where the only anomaly lies in his career: he has never shaken the nets with the Blues in 15 games and 436 minutes of play.
His first Premier League goal was with the West Bromwich Albion jacket on his back that he scored. He will have finally put 17 in 38 games.
Then destination Everton where his total is 87 (in 166 matches) before ending his English adventure at Manchester United with 42 more goals to his name (96 matches).
Today, Lukaku is thriving at Inter Milan where he has already reached 56 goals in 80 games.
To these 243 club goals, are added the 57 registered for the national team, which obviously places him as the top scorer in the history of the Red Devils.
