The Giallorossi took the lead in the 25th minute, after Coletta struck a beautiful, unstoppable shot from 25 meters. The visitors equalized a moment later. All thanks to a mistake by Roma goalkeeper De Marzi, who, after playing the ball from the back, passed it to his opponent, who had no problem scoring. In the 44th minute, the Giallorossi regained the lead. Coletta scored a second time, hitting Graziani’s post. In the 47th minute, Cagliari could have equalized once again. The referee awarded a penalty after a foul by Ienco, who had been called in a moment earlier. However, De Marzi saved his opponent’s shot from eleven meters, avenging his mistake from the first half. In the 73rd minute, the Giallorossi took a two-goal lead, and the third goal, from a corner kick, was scored by Coletta. The score was set six minutes later by Ienco.
