From the Renaissance to today the theme of cold has had a central role. Through this unpublished reading, we focus on pressing current issues, from “climate change” to energy sources – he says Giuliano GasparottiCEO of KIF Italia and Kosmos, the company that manages the Salone delle Colonne – In about forty years the surfaces of the glaciers have reduced by over a third and the prediction of authoritative scientific institutions is that of a rise in sea levels that could occur up to 70 centimeters by 2100. The proposed multisensory path starting from Leonardo da Vinci e Michelangelopassing through the Impressionists up to Kandinsky e Chagall, demonstrates the importance assumed by the element water in its crystallized form both for art, science and society. The need to safeguard a balanced relationship between Man and Nature is the objective towards which it is necessary to move without sacrificing growth and development”.

“The tale of Artika starts from January 1494 when Pietro de’ Medici he invites Michelangelo to his court in a snow-covered Florence, leading to contemporary art. With this first inaugural exhibition we intend to promote the contemporary district of Rome, often subordinate to the historic centre, which instead deserves much more attention. Rome and the EUR are unique cultural and economic development assets. Today, the Salone delle Colonne in Rome is the largest immersive room in Italy and one of the main in Europe. Another record for Rome, in a sector that is a driving force for development such as that of technologies applied to cultural heritage, which should make us proud”, he adds Francesco Mazzeiartistic director and co-founder of KIF Italia and artistic director of the Salone delle Colonne.
