A point-to-point fight that will go on, that’s hope at least, until August 2nd. Lazio remains clinging to second place and hopes for some misstep from Juventus. The victory against Fiorentina brought back enthusiasm from the parts of Formello who now see a brighter and less uphill future ahead of them. The three points gained then bring Lazio to 65 in the standings, a score almost never reached by a second in the last decade. As Lazio Page points out, the biancocelesti have the second best score for a second of the last decade. Better than Inzaghi’s boys only Sarri’s Napoli did two seasons ago when, at this point in the season, he had 70 points. All the others had less: Juventus (2011/12) 56, Naples (2012/13) 53, Rome (2013/14) 64, Rome (2014/15) 53, Naples (2015/16) 61, Rome (2016/17) 62, Naples ( 2017/18) 70 and Naples (2018/19) 60. A nice milestone for the Capitoline who hope to do even better and succeed, repeating what they did twenty years ago, to make a bad joke to the Old Lady.
