Just over a month after starting his work at Corinthians, coach Fernando Lázaro is still experiencing a moment of affirmation for Fiel, who is still trying to learn the nuances of the former assistant. This week, the professional was highly praised by striker Romarinho, who played for Timão between 2012 and 2014.
“Fernando has always shown himself to be a quality professional, who sought to acquire knowledge and evolve. ,” he said in an interview with Sports Gazette.
Romarinho and Lázaro worked together in the player’s passage through Timão. At the time, the current coach of Corinthians worked directly behind the scenes of the technical commission, in the so-called CIFUT (Football Intelligence Center).
A possible reunion of the duo at Corinthians, however, seems distant. Asked about the possibility of returning to Parque São Jorge, Romarinho made it clear that a return is out of the plans at the moment.
“Corinthians have this history, right? Of bringing players back… Romero now had Gil, Paulinho, Balbuena, Maycon, Fabio Santos… This shows the affection that everyone has for the club and that they leave the doors open . (…) At the moment it’s not something I’m thinking about (the return), because I have a contract here and I’m very happy, but whenever I can I’m following the team and interacting with people through social networks, which is really cool”, concluded the player.
