Romanian Teenagers Arrested for Violent Theft: Placed in Pre-Trial Detention

Two suspects aged 17 were arrested very quickly. Indicted for “violent theft resulting in incapacity for work for more than eight days”, these two adolescents of Romanian nationality had been released by the judge of freedoms and detention who had placed them under judicial supervision, contrary to the requisitions of the prosecution which had requested their placement in pre-trial detention. The prosecution therefore appealed this decision.

An appeal that the investigating chamber of the Grenoble Court of Appeal examined this Tuesday. And the investigating chamber finally decided to place the two teenagers in pre-trial detention.
