The last obstacle to the start of the exercises of Ukrainians on F-16 fighters is obtaining the necessary permits.
To start the training of Ukrainian pilots on American F-16 fighters in Romania, it remains to obtain the necessary permits. This was stated by Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Colacu in an interview with the Financial Times.
In his opinion, it will take only a few days. All logistics are ready, the prime minister added.
“I expect the signing of protocols (for pilots – ed.) in the next few days, which is the last obstacle. From the point of view of logistics, everything is in order,” Colaku said.
Recall that the three countries agreed to provide Ukraine with F-16s. At the same time, as Andriy Yermak, head of the President’s Office, said in an interview for DW, the aviation coalition now includes 14 countries and “their number is increasing almost weekly.”
