From Wednesday, wearing a mask will no longer be mandatory
Sanitary restrictive measures imposed in connection with the coronavirus pandemic will be lifted in Romania on 9 March. This was announced by the Romanian Minister of Health Alexandru Rafila at a press conference today.
“We will find ourselves in a new situation where there will be no more restrictions,” Agerpres was quoted as saying. “Individual prudence and responsibility will have to play a key role in the coming period.”
As of Wednesday, wearing a mask will no longer be mandatory in Romania and restrictions on access to shops, restaurants and public institutions, as well as restrictions on their working hours, will be lifted. A “green certificate” (a document certifying vaccination or illness) will no longer be required when entering Romania from abroad, and a passenger locating form will be completed to help authorities quickly identify newcomers who have had previous contact with infected person.
