“After a lot of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” said the couple.
“Over the past 27 years, we have raised three wonderful children and built a foundation working around the world to enable everyone to lead healthy and productive lives,” they continued.
“We continue to share faith in this mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in the next phase of our lives,” the couple added, as quoted by Antara. news.com.au, Tuesday (4/5/2021).

How long have they been married
Bill, 65, and Melinda, 56, married on New Year’s Day 1994, in a private ceremony on Hawaii’s Lanai Island.
They have three children; Jennifer is 25 years old, Rory is 21 years old, and Phoebe is 18 years old.
In 2000, they launched the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, with ambitious goals including the reduction of extreme poverty worldwide.
