Červenka has been active in the Swiss top flight since the 2016/17 season. He played the last four seasons for the Rapperswil-Jona team, while in the last one he also wore the captain’s badge on his jersey and defended his productivity triumph in the regular season. The 2010 World Champion scored 59 points for 16 goals and 43 assists in 43 games and confirmed his position as one of the biggest stars of the leading European competition.
Together with Červenka, another experienced striker Jeremy Wick also extended his contract until the end of the 2024/25 season with the possibility of an option for another year. “It’s another strong signal for the development of our organization that Červenka and Wick have decided to stay with the Lakers,” praised sports director Janick Steinmann.

“They are both extremely important pillars in our team structure in their own way and have played a key role in us being able to take steps forward in recent years. I am confident that they will both continue to play an important role for us in the next two years thanks to their exemplary approach ,” Steinmann added.
At last year’s world championships in Tampere and Helsinki, Červenka won the championship productivity as the fourth Czech hockey player in history. In the role of captain, he helped to win bronze and end the Czech Republic’s ten-year wait for a medal from a major event with 17 points for five goals and 12 assists in ten games. He was voted the best forward and made the All Star team of the tournament.
