Roman Abramovich, owner Chelsea, reportedly wants to buy another club. La Liga Team, Valenciais said to be the shot.
The news was sparked by Plaza Deportivo, which said Abramovich was negotiating with Valencia. This was revealed by Abramovich’s competitor in the competition to buy the Spanish League club, Miguel Zorio.
Zorio, a local businessman, has actually also been eyeing Valencia for some time. Then, he said Peter Lim, the current owner of Valencia, had leaked the news that Abramovich was one of his fans.
“Peter Lim has tried to sell his club [Valencia] in London for £250 million and it didn’t work,” he said.
“Recently, he leaked to the international media that he had two offers to buy. Me and the Russian oligarchs at Chelsea.”
“From here, I told him that he was losing 50 million pounds every year, or he was selling it to us, regardless of whether he liked it or not,” he explained.
Valencia is experiencing financial problems. In November, Los Che admitted a loss of 31.2 million pounds in the last financial year.
This season, Valencia has reportedly lost 36 million pounds. Peter Lim himself has lent him 38 million pounds.
While Abramovich is currently being sanctioned by the British Government, regarding the issue of the Russia vs Ukraine war. The Russian tycoon’s assets were frozen, including having to let Chelsea go.
Chelsea owned Roman Abramovich, since 2003. Since then, the Blues have become one of the powerhouses in Europe, having won all the domestic and international titles.
