Under pressure since the invasion of Ukraine, the Russian owner of Chelsea may well have to sell the club.

After the withdrawal, the departure? This is what could well take shape for Roman Abramovich, according to the daily The Telegraph. The Russian owner of Chelsea had announced, following the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian army, his intention to withdraw from the management of the club and to entrust it to the administrators of the Blues foundation. Now, the possibility of a sale seems to be on the table.
At the head of Chelsea since 2003, Abramovich should receive no less than three offers during the week, reports The Telegraph. Considered close to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the oligarch is under pressure and could well consider selling the club, which he has always refused so far. In any case, the negotiations will have to be done quickly because, as the British daily specifies, Abramovich could see his assets frozen in the coming days.
