The semifinalist of the Champions League withdrew from the project only 48 hours after its official presentation. The decision to be part of the ESL was the result of fears that the club would not be able to keep up with the European elite if it was formed.
However, the management very quickly realized that the risk of damaging the good name of the club is much greater. “From the moment we left ESL, we met with several fan club representatives. We listened to their views and concerns. Our ambition has always been to become the best club in the world on and off the field without forgetting the community.” stands in the statement.
