Romain (The Best Pastry Chef) wows the jury with his chocolate creation

This Thursday, November 14, Le Meilleur Pâtissier broadcast a special program around the theme of chocolate. In turn, the candidates made people talk about their talent by creating creations, each more surprising than the last.

During the creative test, the young budding pastry chefs had to create a totem animal which would hide a chocolate surprise inside. Everyone has their own inspiration, from the turtle to the panda, from the kangaroo to the horse, everyone took part in the game.

Romain, the ambassador of the “milk chocolate” team, is the candidate who stands out in this event. Even if the representation of his ram is not 100% perfect, the surprise inside is a pleasant discovery for Cyril Lignac and Mercotte. Indeed, Romain had the audacity to make macarons, a technical pastry that requires a certain amount of preparation time.

“It is well done, it is soft, it is not too sweet, it is well dosed. Your surprise is good, well done.” Declares Mercotte after tasting a macaron. Cyril, too, is full of praise: “He is absolutely perfect. I sell it in my macaron store”.
