Rome Center back Roger Ibanez is attracting summer transfer attention from a number of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham and Newcastle United.
The Brazilian was signed from Atalanta for €9m plus bonuses after an initial loan period starting in January 2020.
He is sanctioned for tonight’s Europa League round of 16 match against Real Sociedad at the Stadio Olimpico.
According to Calciomercato.com, Ibáñez and his agent met with Roma officials in recent days and are preparing for a possible summer transfer to England.
Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United had already come close last season but were put off by the asking price of €35m.
Now West Ham United have joined the list of Premier League teams interested in the 24-year-old defender, who has a release clause of €80m.
Taking into account the general prices that Premier League clubs pay on the transfer market, Roma are hoping to get €50m for Ibáñez.
