Roma regained its winning tone in the Italian League by defeating its guest Verona 2-1 in the twenty-first stage.

Roma defeated its guest Verona 2-1 in the twenty-first stage of the Italian Football League, in the first appearance of new coach Daniele De Rossi.
Roma won in the first half, with Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku leading with a goal in the 19th minute, six minutes later Lorenzo Pellegrini added the second goal, then Michael Folorunsho responded with the only goal for Verona in the 76th minute.
The victory raised Roma’s tally to 32 points to advance to seventh place, while Verona’s tally stopped at 17 points in third place from the bottom.
De Rossi took over as coach of Roma with a contract extending until next June 30, four days ago after the dismissal of Portuguese Jose Mourinho from coaching the team with immediate effect.
After 18 years of playing with Roma, De Rossi returned to the team as technical director, and succeeded in leading him to achieve its first victory in nearly a month.
