It does not seem that Rolls-Royce go succumb to the age of half-measures electrification. When it does, it will embrace 100% electric technology, putting plug-in hybrids aside. As can be seen in the official record, the trademark “Silent Shadow” has been registered in the area of ”Automobiles and components” by BMW hasta 2030.

Already in 2016 the Goodwood brand took advantage of the BMW centenary to present the Vision Next 100 concept, a luxurious and futuristic autonomous and 100% electric vehicle that said goodbye to the V12.
Two years later, the manufacturer announced that 2040 would be the year in which he would only sell electric cars. It would be a decade late compared to other luxury brands like Bentley.
