In 2022, British carmaker Rolls-Royce Motor Cars sold a total of 6,021 vehicles. This is 8% more than the previous year, and an absolute record for all of the almost 120-year history of the company: so far it has not managed to exceed the threshold of 6,000 cars in one year.
IN Rolls-Royce he also pointed out that demand for their products remains high, customers are “willing to pay around half a million euros for their unique Rolls-Royce cars” and pre-orders for new cars have been taking place for almost all of 2023.
The United States remains the largest market for Rolls-Royce vehicles, accounting for 35% of sales. China remains the second largest market, although sales have slightly decreased due to the situation with COVID-19. Given the high number of pre-orders, including for the new, first all-electric Specter model, which goes on sale towards the end of 2023, the company expects sales growth this year. This will not prevent, according to Rolls-Royce boss Thorsten Müller-Otvos, the cessation of car sales in Russia.
The Russian market, on average, took 200-300 Rolls-Royce cars a year. Last year’s record sales were also in the UK and German markets. Overall, the most sought-after model in 2022 was Rolls-Royce Cullinan globally and Ghost in Asia.
