LONDON: People were trapped on a rollercoaster at a UK theme park on Friday afternoon after the ride malfunctioned. Called ‘The Rage’ at Adventure Island in Essex, the ride is set up to spin people down 72ft. On Friday, on the way up, media reports said the riders were stuck on the track, hanging upside down for at least half an hour.
Rescuers rushed to the rollercoaster to save the riders. Eight people were evacuated through the emergency escape platform. It was a scary situation. The visitors said that due to the proper intervention of the rescue workers, a major accident was averted.
