The “Music in Small Groups” competition organized by the Rohrbach district management took place on Saturday. Eight ensembles in various instrumental compositions (woodwinds, brass, percussion and mixed ensembles) and ages presented themselves to an expert jury chaired by Stefan Player. In addition to being evaluated in 10 different criteria, the musicians received oral feedback from the jury.
Two young ensembles (Quattrobones and Groovy 2 with an average age of between 10 and 12 years) were even able to qualify for the state competition thanks to their excellent performance! It is particularly pleasing that two youth orchestras (Helfenberg & Altenfelden/St. Martin) also took part in today’s competition. The Helfenberg Music Association ensured the physical well-being of the audience.
