New returnable bags and ecological products

Rohlík also announced a novelty regarding the bags in which he delivers purchases today. Customers now have the option of receiving a purchase in returnable bags made from recycled PET bottles instead of paper disposable bags. “It’s easy to roll. When paying, the customer chooses in which bags he wants to bring the purchase, pays a refundable deposit of CZK 250, receives the purchase in reusable bags and returns them with the next delivery, “he explains. Olin Novák, who will become the executive director of Rohlík.cz in October.

Returnable pet bags should have an 80% lower impact on the environment and a 62% lower carbon footprint than disposable paper bags. Upon return, the company will clean and disinfect the plastic bag. Each bag should handle at least 25 cycles.

Rohlík is also expanding the segment of its own private labels. In addition to farm meat products MEAT! and fish goods Fjoru newly introduces the Dacello brand, which targets the segment of the cheapest goods from the category of sausage products. However, despite the low price, the croissant promises to maintain the high quality of the products. “We managed to reduce the costs at the slaughterhouse,” Čupr explained. In addition, Rohlík is launching its own craft bakery and this month introduced the Pappudio brand.

The company also wants to focus more on the sustainability of the products offered. “For Miil dairy products, we are compensating for the carbon footprint created by the brand’s production. But that’s not all, we also focused on ecology with the new Moddia range, where we really thought about sustainability at every moment of its production. ” adds Novak. For example, in the case of three-ply toilet paper or kitchen towels, the middle layer is made of 100% recycled fibers, the two outer layers are made of 100% cellulose.
