Recently an anchor asked Hardik Pandya, ‘What motivates you to perform well?’
Hardik’s reply,
It was ‘that’s brother’.
The same question is asked to Ashwin who was standing next to him.
Ashwin as ‘mother and Shane Warne’.
Finally, the host asks this question to Rohit Sharma.
Hitman’s reply was that ‘representing the country motivates me the most’.
It is not just a patriotic proclamation. Because, check out his IPL stats. Rohit is the most frequently decked batter! He thought it was child’s play. It may even seem that Ambani, the businessman who has given the number of the only one considering his extraordinary leadership, is keeping him.
But he changes drastically when he steps out for the country. He feels like something is exciting him. World Cup venues are at its peak. Perhaps it should be called patriotism. He doesn’t seem to be playing for himself.
Look at it now, India have never played with such confidence and dominance in any ICC tournament. It has been completely dominant in all the previous games. What is the reason for that?
No doubt, it is the aggressiveness of Hitman. He starts off so authentically. Like Lullaby’s dialogue in ‘Lucifery’, towards any fiery bowler, the attitude of ‘Whoa!
Given his current form, he has been criticized for not scoring big in the last two games. Not looking, not in a mechword kind of way.
Calm down dear critics.. He is playing selfless cricket. He doesn’t even think he cares how many runs he has scored on his own.
He sings completely for the team and for the country. He has decided something. Because, what inspires him is his country, India..
