Barbados: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma set foot on the Caribbean soil for the West Indies tour in a new get-up. The Indian team, which arrived in Barbados in different groups, has already started preparations for the first Test. The first Test match will be played on July 12.
Team India has planned a week-long training session in Barbados ahead of the three-format series. The team will play practice matches before the first Test. The series consists of two Tests, three ODIs and five Twenty20s. The BCCI has already announced the Test and ODI squads. India is coming to change the impact of losing to Aussies in the Test final. With Pujara out, Ajinkya Rahane is the vice-captain of the Test team. Rahane’s comeback was helped by a brilliant performance in the final against the Aussies. Pacer Mukesh Kumar has made it to the team on the strength of his performance in domestic cricket.
